This weekend there are some great family friendly events Around Orangeville. I will be out at the Coldest Night of the Year Event on Satrday with my family, maybe I'll see you there.

All Weekend Long

Across The Pond continues its run at the Orangeville Opera House. There are shows Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. This show, starring Leisa Way and The Lonely Hearts Club Band, celebrates Celebrate 50 years of British pop & rock music from familiar hits of the 60’s to today’s biggest stars. Friday Evening

The theme for the Friday Night Social at Tony Rose is Game Night. This event is for children ages 7 – 14. From 7:00 to 9:00 pm enjoy a variety of different active and passive games with the Program Leaders and participants. To register and for more information go to townoforangeville.perfectmind.com.

Saturday

The Orangeville Food Bank is hosting the Coldest Night Of The Year Fundraiser on Saturday starting at 4:00 pm. This event will begin and end at West Side Secondary School. There are three walking courses a 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km. At the conclusion of the walk dinner and refreshments will be provided. Orangeville Food Bank supports Orangeville and area residents in need of emergency food assistance. We support 575 people a month, 37% of those are children. Seniors continue to be the fasting growing demographic each year. Go to cnoy.org for more information and to register, you can also register on the day of the event.

Saturday morning head to Town Hall for the indoor Farmers Market from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Come out and support your favourite local vendors.

 

If you’re in the Grand Valley area check out 21 Main at 10:30 am. They have another in their month-long series of Valentines themed events where you can make Valentines Slime. You can register and purchase your tickets from their website at 21main.ca.

 

Have you ever wanted to create a quilt out of your favourite t-shirts? At the T Shirt Quilt Workshop you can learn how to design and make a quilt from treasured, old T shirts. Attend this event by the Dufferin Piecemakers Quilting Guild at the Orangeville and District Senior Citizens Centre on Bythia starting at 9:30 am. Saturday afternoon bring the kids over to the Orangeville Library Mill Street Branch at 2:00 pm for the Family Movie Matinee. This month they will be showing How to Tame Your Dragon 2. This event is free of charge and families are encouraged to bring their own snacks.

 

Saturday evening Champion Cheer Academy is hosting a Medium Night Fundraiser. Get ready to experience a different kind of Mediumship style unlike any other you have witnessed before. Medium Jen and Paranormal Investigator Gerry come together to measure spirit and bring to you what you need. Tickets can be purchased through info@championcheer.ca or at CCA's front desk located at 55 Townline.

Sunday

At Tony Rose Arena from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm the OSPCA will be hosting a Fundraiser Mom 2 Mom sale where you can purchase new and gently used children’s clothing, baked goods and a variety of other vendors.
