March Break is here and if you haven’t booked a trip to a warmer destination and don’t have your children signed up for a camp all week here are some events you might want to check out during March Break 2019.
The Orangeville Public Library
The Library has a full line up of events each day during the week of March Break. They will be offering both free and ticketed events check out their website for more information orangeville.ca/orangeville-public-library.
The Free Events Are:
- Monday – Create with Plasticine – All Ages - Mill Street – drop-in 1:00 – 3:00 pm
- Tuesday – Kids Knit - 6 and up – Alder – 2:00 – 3:00 pm
- Wednesday – Tinker – All Ages – Mill Street – drop-in 1:00 – 3:00 pm
- Thursday – Zumba Kids – All Ages – Ecole elementaire des Quatres-Rivieres – 2:00 – 3:00 pm
- Friday – Teen Movie – Black Panther – Ages 13 and up – Mill Street – 1:00 – 3:00 pm
The Ticketed Events Are: (note all ticketed events are held at the Ecole elementaire des Quatres-Rivieres located at 60 Century Drive)
- Monday – The Great Steverino – Magic Show – 10:00 – 10:45 am
- Tuesday – DuffleBag Theatre – Snow White – 10:00 – 10:45 am
- Wednesday – The Craig Douglas Juggling Show – 10:00 – 10:45 am
- Thursday – Creature Quest – 10:00 – 10:45 am
- Friday – Team T & J – music show – 10:00 – 10:45 am
The Museum of Dufferin
The Museum will offer free admission to the museum during March Break. While there you can check out the activities and exhibits the museum has to offer. In addition there will be a museum wide scavenger hunt organized throughout March Break. Go to dufferinmuseum.com for more information and hours.
The Town of Orangeville
While the March Break camps offered by the town are full, they are hosting two family events at the Alder Recreation Centre during March Break. On Tuesday March 12 there will be a Youth Dodgeball Tournament for children ages 9 – 12. The Tournament will begin at 9:30 am. Each team will be required to have an adult with the team during the tournament and a pizza lunch is included in your registration fee. On Thursday March 14, the town will be hosting a Youth Floor Hockey Tournament. This tournament is also for children ages 9 - 12 and will start at 9:30 am. Each team will be required to have an adult with the team during the tournament and a pizza lunch is included in your registration fee. Island Lake Conservation Area
The Annual Maple Syrup Festival at Island Lake Conservation Area will begin on Friday March 15 and continue on Saturday March 16. This interactive event will allow visitors to enjoy live entertainment, demonstrations, face painting, wagon rides, local vendors, axe throwing and of course real maple syrup and pancakes! The Home Depot
The Home Depot in Orangeville will be offering kids workshops where children can complete a building activity each day during March Break from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Contact the Orangeville Home Depot at (519) 940-9061 for more details.
Maggiolly Art
Maggiolly Art will be hosting workshops all week long. Each day they are offering 2 projects one from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm and the second from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Teen Ranch
If you are looking for some full day activites for your children, Teen Ranch might be your answer. They are offering full day camps during March Break, you can do the full week or individual days as you need. The day camp includes, pony rides, crafts, games, skating, tubing, snow activities and more. Spaces are limited and you are required to register ahead of time, go to teenranch.com for more details.
Galaxy Cinemas Orangeville
The Galaxy Cinemas Orangeville will be showing a collection of Family Movies over March Break. Every day they will be showing 4 films which will start at 11:00 am each day and admission for these films is $2.99. The films being shown are The Grinch, Mighty Pups, Smallfoot, and Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindewald. Check out cineplex.com for more details and to purchase tickets.
Heatherlea Farm Shoppe
On Wednesday March 13, The Heatherlea Farm Shoppe will be hosting a Kids in the Kitchen: Cupcake Decorating event from 9:00 – 11:00 am. This class is for beginners ages 8 – 12 for more information and tickets contact the Heatherlea Farm Shoppe at: heatherlea-farm-shoppe.myshopify.com
Orangeville Minor Lacrosse
On Wednesday March 13, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm Orangeville Minor Lacrosse will be offering a Free Try Lacrosse event at Orangeville District Secondary School. You will need to bring some indoor running shoes and the Northmen will provide sticks for your use. Orangeville Curling Club

On Wednesday March 13, 2019 the Orangeville Curling Club is running a one day Kids Camp. This camp will introduce children to the sport of curling. Pottery Parties Studio
