This weekend there are some great events going on in our communities highlighted by the Orangeville Lions Road Hockey Fundraiser and the Caledon Pit Run. Also don’t forget to check out Lennox Farms and GVG Farms for some fun events for the kids to get out and learn more about farm life.

Friday is Kid's Day at the Erin Farmers Market. From 3:00 – 7:00 pm at McMillan Park in Erin, stop by to check out the great local vendors who are part of the market and the kids will enjoy some crafts, treats and other activities. Go to the Facebook event page for more information.

The 101.5 myFM & Orangeville Lions Club - Orangeville Road Hockey Fundraiser presented by Parker Mitsubishi is on Saturday. This all day 3 on 3 road hockey tournament will begin at 8:00 am at Lions Sports Park on Diane Drive. If you have not registered a team you can come out and show your support. All funds raised will go to the Lions Club. Go to the Facebook event page for more details.

The Caledon Pit Run is Saturday starting at 8:00 am head down to the pit for fun activities for the whole family. You can participate in the 5km run or just enjoy the Rock Truck rides, the Kids fun activity coral, talk to the bomb squad and take part in the kid’s obstacle course. The Orangeville Farmers Market will be on Second Street beside Town Hall on Saturday from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. Stop by and support the great vendors and pick up some terrific local products. Come out the Lennox Farm on Saturday from 12:00 – 4:00 pm for Rhubarb Day. This event will feature wagon rides through the rhubarb fields, a photo booth and a market stand with local goods. Check out the Facebook event page for more details.

Want to know more about the Alton Mill head out there on Saturday from 12:00 – 3:00 pm for a free historic tour of the Mill. Learn about the Alton Mill's history and restoration with a free guided tour by one of its founders, Jordan Grant. Go to the Facebook event page for more information about this event.

Take it Easy: The Story of The Eagles will be on the Orangeville Opera House stage on Saturday at 8:00 pm. Come out and enjoy the great music of The Eagles in this production. For tickets and additional show information go to tickets.theatreorangeville.ca.

On Saturday join the Ceadarville Community Centre and Camp Fincayra for an outdoor movie, the Jungle Book, will begin at 9:30 pm for a showing under the stars. Located at Address: 105261 Southgate Rd 10, Conn, Ontario.

GVG Farms in East Garafraxa is hosting an Open House on Sunday from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. Stop by and see what the farm is all about. They will be offering a free barbecue. Go to the Facebook event page for more details.

Ontario Women’s Anglers will be hosting a New-Angler Day at Island Lake Conservation Area on Sunday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Come out and learn more about the sport of fishing. No license needed this is women teaching women more about the sport of angling. Go to the Facebook event page for more information about this event.

Finish up you weekend on Sunday with another installment of Ice Cream and Chat with Mayor Sandy Brown at Mill Creek Gardens from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.
