#AroundOrangeville – March 13 – 15

It’s the weekend and the start of March Break. If you are looking for something to do this weekend there are some great events going on in our communities.

All Weekend Long

The Scarborough Kennel Club will be hosting the SKC 2020 Dog Show at the Orangeville Fairgrounds all weekend long. Come and see dogs compete in this competition with free admission all weekend long. For more details go to the Facebook event page for more details.

This weekend is the world premiere of Too Close To Home presented by Theatre Orangeville running all weekend long at the Orangeville Opera House.  Come and see the latest production telling a heartwarming story of what it means to be a family. Friday

Friday night join Party Rockers Entertainment for the Orangeville Youth Dance Fundraiser at Spencer Avenue Elementary School from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. This is a fun night out for kids ages 7 – 13 where they can dance play games and have fun with friends. Doors open at 7:00 for tickets and more details visit partyrockers.ca.

The Teen Advisory Group is meeting at the Orangeville Public Library on Friday from 4:00 – 5:30 pm. This is a great way for your teens to complete some of their community service hours and help the library with their programming for the upcoming events they are running. Saturday

Central Registration for sports and recreation activities in Shelburne will be running again on Saturday at the Centre Duffer Recreation Complex from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm. If you are thinking of signing your kids up for some activities but are looking for some more information this is a great opportunity to learn more about the various programs. If your kids are into Minecraft they can go to Art with Jada and paint a Minecraft Canvas on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. These canvases have a grid pattern and are ready for your own paint ideas and creativity. For more details go to artwithjada.ca.

Landman Gardens is hosting another Slow Cooker Workshop on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:30 pm at their farm. If you are looking for more ideas to make homemade meals on those busy nights when everyone has something going on this workshop will give you some great ideas about how to use your slow cooker to make some great meals. Sunday

Sunday the Alton Mill will be hosting another Art Battle from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. You can come out and see some amazing artists create pieces working against the clock and competing against each other. For more information and tickets go to the Facebook event page.
