There are so many great events going on this weekend Around Orangeville it will be hard to decide what to do. Enjoy meeting animals with Little Rays Nature Centre, some great early Easter Events or bring your kids out to try soccer or lacrosse.
Come out and meet a sloth and many other animals with Little Ray’s Nature Centre at the Orangeville Agricultural Centre on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. I have taken my kids to Little Ray’s shows in other places and they put on a great show. There will be a number of different animals that you can meet, see and learn about, and a number of stage shows to teach you more about the animals they have in their care. It’s the final weekend to catch Off the Grid the latest production by Theatre Orangeville at the Orangeville Opera House this weekend. Off the Grid is a new show written by John Spurway about a couple who decide to celebrate their anniversary with a weekend off the grid. There are shows on Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, go to tickets.theatreorangeville.ca for tickets and more information about the show.
Downey’s Farm Easterfest begins on Saturday and will run Saturday and Sunday this weekend from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Check out the farm market and their amazing children’s play area. Go to downeysfarm.com for more information about this event.
UDATE: THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT It’s another Kid’s Night Out on Friday at Headwaters Racquet Club from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Participants will take part in the Easter Egg Extravaganza complete with an Easter egg hunt, crafts and games, pizza and snacks are included. Friday Night starting at 7:00 pm is another Party Rockers Youth Dance Party, this time in support of the Orangeville Outlaws Football Club. Children ages 7 – 13 are invited to come out for a fun evening. For tickets or more information go to partyrockers.ca.

Bring your kids to the Coles store in the Orangeville Mall on Saturday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm and take part in the Easter Egg-stravaganza. The Coles staff will be leading particpants in a number of Easter themed activities and crafts in the store. Go to the Facebook event page for more details.
Saturday at 11:00 am in Inglewood you can join Rigbee Childminding for an Easter Egg Hunt. This Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Inglewood Lloyd Wilson Centennial Park go to the Facebook event page for more details.
If you love princesses head to Dundalk and join Giddy-Up N’ Go Ponies for a Magical Princess Tea Party. The location for this event is 250 Owen Sound Street in Dundalk., there are two seatings for this event at 12:00 pm and at 2:30 pm. Go to the Facebook event page for details and ticket information.
Saturday evening at 7:00 pm head over to Orangeville District Secondary School for an evening of Jazz presented by The Rooftop Jazz Band and the ODSS Jazz Band. Pick up your tickets in advance at Booklore on First Street.
Are your kids thinking about giving soccer a try this summer? Come out to the Athletes Institute on Sunday and join the Orangeville Storm Minor Soccer League for a fun day of soccer in the dome. Age groups range from 5 – 16 and children will be separated into age groups go to the Orangeville Minor Soccer Facebook page for more information for this free event.
Sunday the Orangeville Northmen Lacrosse will be hosting another Try-It Day from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at Orangeville District Secondary School. Sunday in Caledon there are two Easter Egg Hunts.
Soni Dental is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in Caledon Village. This event is free for all children and begins at 11:00 am, go to the Facebook event page for more information.
Join Doberman Rescue Ontario, for an Easter Fun and Fundraiser. From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm come out to the DoberManor on Highway 9 to support the rescue. Go to the Facebook event page for more details.
