It’s the long weekend. I had always called this Simcoe Day Long weekend but I recently discovered that name is only used in the City of Toronto and in most of the province it is called the Civic Holiday Weekend. No matter what you call it I hope you have a great long weekend and here are a few events going on #AroundOrangeville this weekend for you to get out and enjoy.
Friday Night at Centre 2000 in Erin there will be an outdoor screening of Avengers: Infinity Wars, so bring you lawn chair and some snacks and enjoy a free movie under the stars. The show will start at dusk the seating area will open at 8:30 pm. Go to the Facebook event page for more details.
Kick off the weekend on Saturday with a stop at the Orangeville Farmers Market in Downtown Orangeville from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh produce and other great items from all the local vendors at the market. The Alton Village Pump Track Grand Opening will be on Saturday at 10:00 am the day will start with a ribbion cutting followed by a track demonstration and a barbecue. Also remember to bring your bike to checkout the track for yourself. Access to the track is through the Alton Public Library parking lot, go to the Facebook event page for more details.
Once again Broadway Animal Hospital will be offering free pet nail trimming in exchange for a donation to the Headwaters Pet Food Bank. Stop by either Saturday or Sunday between 1:00 – 4:00 pm and take advantage of this great deal and help a worthwhile cause. Go to the Facebook event page for more details.
Saturday evening at 7:00 pm come out Tony Rose Arena to cheer on your Jr A Northmen in Game 3 of the OJALL Finals against the Burlington Chiefs. Come out and support your Jr. A Northmen.
Sunday from 12:00 – 5:00 pm at the Museum of Dufferin celebrate the long weekend with Tunes n’ Brews Festival sponsored by Country 105. Enjoy the music of Dufferin County Line, enjoy a refreshing beverage at the Goodlot Farm Beer Garden, explore the museum grounds and check out the Mulmur Farmers Market all in one place.
