There are some great events going on this weekend in our community. The Orangeville Food Bank will be hosting its biggest fundraiser of the year and it is a fun event for the whole family to get out enjoy some time together and support a great cause. Hope to see you there.

Theatre Orangeville Early Morning Rain

Theatre Orangeville's production of Early Morning Rain – The Legend of Gordon Lightfoot continues at the Orangeville Opera House this weekend. This musical featuring many of Gordon Lightfoot’s hits. For more details and to get your tickets, go to tickets.theatreorangeville.ca.

Friday

Town of Orangeville Skating Swimming

The Town of Orangeville is hosting Public Skating and Swimming at Alder Street Recreation Centre on Friday in case you are looking for something to do for the teacher's strike day. Check out the skating and swim schedule  orangeville.ca.

Saturday

Coldest Night of the Year #CNOY2020 Orangeville Foodbank

Saturday is the Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser in support of the Orangeville Foodbank, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. The event will start and end at West Side Secondary School and there is a 2 km, 5km and 10km walking distances with a light meal provided at the end of the walk. The Orangeville Foodbank helps so many families in our community so if you can get out and support this event please do and if you can not consider supporting a walker or team or just make a donation to the Foodbank. Ornageville Northmen Lacrosse

The Orangeville Northmen Lacrosse will be hosting a free Try-It Day on Saturday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the gym at Orangeville District Secondary School. Bring some indoor shoes and you can give the sport of lacrosse a try, sticks will be provided. For more details go to northmenlacrosse.ca.

Orangeville Farmers Market Downtown Orangeville

Saturday the Orangeville Farmers Market will be hosting the winter market inside Orangeville Town Hall from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to come to Downtown Orangeville and support some of the amazing local vendors at the market. Orangeville Public Library Family Movie Matinee Aladdin

The Orangeville Public Library will be hosting a Family Movie Matinee showing Aladdin from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Mill Street Library. Bring your family and some snacks and enjoy this screening of Aladdin (2019) featuring Will Smith as the Gennie. For more information go to orangeville.ca.

Island Lake Rowing Club

Saturday the Island Lake Rowing Club will be hosting Indoor Rowing Day – Coast to Coast from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Monora Park. Join this national event and learn more about the Island Lake rowing club. For more details go to the Facebook event page.

Sunday

Museum of Dufferin Black History Month

Sunday the Museum of Dufferin will continue to celebrate Black History Month with their Black History Month Celebration from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. This event will feature a panel discussion about Black History Month and its importance in our community featuring several community leaders and local professionals and a special guest appearance by Toronto Hip Hop artist Maestro Fresh Wes. Shelburne Soccer Club Free Skate

The Shelburne Soccer Club will be hosting a Free Family Skate on Sunday at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Come out for some family fun on the ice and there will be members of the Soccer Club there so you will be able to register for the upcoming outdoor soccer season. Canadian Blood Services Orangeville Best Western

Canadian Blood Services will be hosting a Blood Donor Clinic at the Orangeville Best Western on Monday from 2:00 – 7:00 pm. There is always a need for blood donations so if you are able to donate please consider making an appointment or just stopping by and giving. For more information go to blood.ca.
