This weekend there are some great family-friendly events going on in our communities for you to get out and enjoy. If you are around on Sunday Mono Winterfest is sure to be a lot of fun.

All Weekend Long

OMT Elf Jr. Orangeville Music Theatre

Orangeville Music Theater will have a one weekend run of its production of Elf Jr. this weekend Friday through Sunday at the Orangeville Opera House. Come out and see this talented cast of junior performers bring the screen to stage in this story of Buddy the Elf. Go to orangevillemusictheatre.com for showtimes and tickets.

Orangeville Town Council Lisa Post

Councillor Lisa Post will be hosting two Walk and Talk sessions this weekend. Friday at 2:00 pm she will be walking indoors on the walking track at the Alder Recreation Centre, and again on Sunday at 12:00 pm in the Rolling Hills subdivision which is a rescheduled date from the event that was previously canceled. LOL Dolls Pottery Parties Studio

If you have a fan of LOL Dolls in your home, Pottery Parties Studio is hosting an L.O.L Ceramic Painting Party on Friday night starting at 6:30 pm. You can paint a selection of L.O.L Doll themed pieces. Registration is required check go to the Facebook event page for more details.

Saturday

Family Literacy Day Orangeivlle Public Library

Saturday the Orangeville Public Library will be hosting a Family Literacy Day Celebration from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The Library has a whole line up of family-friendly events going on including a performance by children’s entertainer Joseph Vetro, therapy dogs, science activities and arts and crafts. Orangeville Farmers Market

The Orangeville Farmers Market is back on Saturday at the Orangeville Town Hall from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Come out and support the great vendors and pick up a selection of local goods. For more information go to the Orangeville Farmers Market Facebook page.

Shelburne Muskies Fight Cancer

Saturday evening help the Shelburne Muskies fight cancer with their 3rd Annual Muskies Fight Cancer Night at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex in Shelburne starting at 7:30 pm. Come and check out the team's custom jerseys and win some great prizes in the raffles and door prizes. For more details go to the Facebook event page.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Koros Games

For the Pokemon fans in your house, Koros Games will be hosting a Pokemon Sword and Shield Pre-release Event at their shop on Saturday from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Edify Centre Assessing for Suicide in Kids

Edify Center is hosting an Assessing for Suicide in Kids - ASK Workshop on Saturday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. This is a full-day workshop about bringing awareness to the signs that a child may be at risk or in need of some help. For more details and to purchase tickets go to edifycentre.ca.

Sunday

Sunday the Town of Mono is hosting Mono Winterfest from 12:00 – 4:00 pm at the Mono Community Centre on Mono Centre Road. Come out and enjoy some great family fun with Ice Skating, Cross Country Skiing, Tobogganing and more fun winter activities and games. Sunday there is Free Public Skating at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex in Shelburne from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. Come out for a little family fun on the ice. For details go to the Facebook event page.

Adamo Estate Winery Hockley Valley Resort Wedding

If you are planning a wedding in the future join Hockley Valley Resort and Adamo Estate Winery for a Wedding Open House on Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
