Spring is finally here, and there are some great events going on Around Orangeville this weekend.

Teams made up of work colleagues, families or friends take part by coming out to our virtual bowling alley at the Orangeville Best Western. The event starts at 12:00 pm and runs into Friday evening. Go to bigbrothersbigsisters.ca for more information or to register your team.
Far Shot Recreation is hosting an open house on Friday from 4:00 – 9:00 pm. If you have never tried Axe or Knife Throwing or Archery bring your family to try something new at the League Preview Night. Go to farshot.ca for more information about Far Shot and the leagues they run.
If you have children ages 12 – 17 they can checkout the Encaustics for Youth Workshop at The Hive in the Alton Mill. Not an event for the whole family but it supports a great cause. Head over to the Stomping Grounds 2.0 and check out the Charity Concert with performances by Wicked Truth, Itchy and Scratchy and The Campfire Poets along with other special guest performers. Saturday is you last chance to catch the Maple Syrup Festival at Island Lake Conservation Area. I took my kids there last week and they had a great time. For more information go to maplesyrupfest.com.
Skate Canada Orangeville will be presenting it’s 60th Anniversary Ice Show at Toney Rose Arena. This show will be performed by all the students of Skate Canada Orangeville’s various programs and should be a lot of fun, the kids have put a lot of work into the show. There are 2 shows 1:30 pm and again at 7:00 pm. Check out the Facebook event page for more information.
Head on out to Grand Valley and visit 21 Main, they will be hosting an Easter Sign Making Workshop from 10:30 – 11:30 am. They’re back … on Saturday the Girl Guides of Orangeville will be at the Orangeville Sobeys selling the classic chocolate and vanilla Girl Guide Cookies from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Head over and support the Girl Guides.
