What a crazy week I think we had a little bit of weather from every season so far this week. This weekend there are some great events going on in our communities for you and your family to enjoy.

SEASONAL FUN

Join Terra Cotta Conservation Area for Fall Fest this weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. You will be able to enjoy great activities for the kids and the whole family, see the fall colours on the trails around the Conservation Area, live music and great food. Pumpkin Fest at Sweet Pea's Farm continues this weekend. Sweet Pea's farm will be open 10:00 am – 5:00 pm daily until Halloween. There are a whole host of activities for the kids and adults alike and with each paid admission you receive a pumpkin. Go to the Facebook event page for more details about Pumpkin Fest.

Downey’s Farm Pumpkinfest is still running through to Halloween daily from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Head down to the farm to enjoy all the regular activities in the kids play area, the massive corn maze and many Halloween themed additions. Go to downeysfarm.com for more information about the event.

If you are a model train enthusiast be sure the to check out the Greater Toronto Train Show presented by ITAL Scale Models and the Credit Valley Railway Company on Saturday and Sunday at the Brampton Fairgrounds on Heartlake Road. Go to the Facebook event page for more details.

FRIDAY

Friday evening head to Community Living Dufferin between 6:30 – 8:30 pm for a Halloween Costume Exchange hosted by Shop With Purpose Market. This is a great opportunity to pick up a previously worn costume that is still in great shape for your kids for a fraction of the cost of a new costume and help a local charity in the process. Friday evening at the Orangeville Fairgounds your kids can enjoy the Party Rockers Dance Party from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. This dance party for kids aged 7 – 13 will have dancing, and other fun for your kids. For more information go to partyrockers.ca.

SATURDAY

ALAS Dufferin will be hosting its annual Fall Harvest Car Rally Dinner and Dance on Saturday at Monora Park Pavilion from 1:00 pm – Midnight. Come out and enjoy some family friendly activities all afternoon followed by an evening of dinner from Absolute Cartering and Dancing. To purchase tickets go to canadahelps.org.

Saturday is the 2019 Don Olson Classic from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Albion Hills Conservation Area. You can register for the All Ages 5 km Trail Race the 2.5 km Youth Race or the 5 km 2 Person Relay. There should be some good competition for the competitive racers and a lot of fun for everyone else. Go to trackie.com to register for the event.

TD Tree Days are in Mono on Saturday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Mono Pollinator Garden on Hockley Road. You can come out and help plant 300 native trees in the garden. For more information about the event go to tdtreedays.com.

Saturday morning check out the Orangeville Farmers Market from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. It’s a great time of year for local produce so be sure to pick up some fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as supporting the other great vendors that make our local farmers market so great. SUNDAY

Dufferin County Family Week Celebration 2019 will be held on Sunday from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at Monora Park Pavilion. Come out and celebrate Family Week with fun activities for the kids including Artsploration, a scavenger hunt, face painting, and more family fun. Visit dufferincounty.ca for more information.

On Sunday Cycling Elements will be hosting its Fall Bike Swap from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at their shop on Wellington Street. Stop by and you can find a great deal on a used bike.
