Happy Thanksgiving! Being a long weekend there aren’t a whole lot of activities going on in our area, however the Erin Fall Fair is always a great family friendly event to check out. Hopefully the great fall weather we have had over the last week will continue through the weekend and you can get outside and enjoy some time with the whole family.
Seasonal Fun
Thanksgiving weekend always means the Erin Fall Fair is going on. Take the whole family and enjoy a great line up of live music, fun activities for the kids, the mid way, and so much more. Pumpkin Fest at Sweet Peas Farm continues this weekend. Sweet Peas farm will be open 10:00 am – 5:00 pm daily until Halloween. There are a whole host of activities for the kids and adults alike and with each paid admission you receive a pumpkin. Go to the Facebook event page for more details about Pumpkin Fest.
Downey’s Farm Pumpkinfest is still running through to Halloween daily from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Head down to the farm to enjoy all the regular activities in the kids play area, the massive corn maze and many Halloween themed additions. Go to downeysfarm.com for more information about the event.
Harvest Fest 2019 – A Pagan Harvest will be held this weekend at the Mansfield Outdoor Centre on Airport Road in Mulmur. Join the Pagan and Heathen communities for a celebration of the harvest Friday through Monday. Go to wiccanfest.com/harvestfest to find out more and to reserve your spot.
Friday
The Teen Advisory Group is meeting at the Orangeville Public Library Friday from 4:00 – 5:30 pm. This group helps the library with the youth programming they offer. For more information about this group contact the Orangeville Public Library at www.orangeville.ca.
Saturday
Saturday morning check out the Orangeville Farmers Market from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm. It’s a great time of year for local produce so be sure to pick up some fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as supporting the other great vendors that make our local farmers market so great. Mount Wolfe Farms in Caledon will be hosting its annual Thanksgiving Farm Fest on Saturday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Come out to the farm and enjoy family friendly activities, a hayride and their market. For more information go to mountwolfefarm.ca.
Ketchum House will be hosting another Butt Challenge on Saturday, this time they will be in Shelburne. Join in and help clean up in your community, starting at 12:45 pm at Jack Dowling Park you and your team can take to the streets of Shelburne picking up cigarette butts. Saturday evening Sweet Pea’s Farm will be opening the 4th Annual Haunted Forest starting at 7:00 pm. The forest is bigger and scarier this year, are you up to the challenge of entering the haunted forest? For more information about the Haunted Forest go to the Facebook event page.
