#AroundOrangeville - Where to get your Christmas Tree

If you love to have a real Christmas tree for the holidays and want a fun family outing there are some local tree farms that offer the experience of going out and cutting your own tree. Or you can enjoy the day out in the fresh air and come home with a pre-cut tree if you don’t like the idea of all the manual labour. Here is a list of some local farms you can check out to get your tree.

Stop by and choose from one of the fresh-cut trees or hunt for the perfect tree to cut down yourself. While you are at the farm you can check out the Heritage Barn Gift Shop and pick up a unique gift, warm up by the outdoor fire, and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or a bite to eat from the Miller’s Meats Food Truck. There are walking trails around the property with different locations that are great for family photos and on weekends you can meet Mena and Freedom Herd Horses.

Choose from a selection of fresh-cut trees or cut your own. While you are at the farm you can enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride, check out the Farm Store for a selection of gifts and décor items and enjoy a hot chocolate by the fire while your tree is being baled. Note Hockley Valley Farm accepts cash only.

Choose from a selection of pre-cut trees or head out into the field and cut your own. You can enjoy a family sleigh ride, or a snack and a hot chocolate or apple cider at the snack bar.

You can choose one of the pre-cut trees or enjoy a tractor-drawn wagon ride to the field to cut your own tree. You can also check out a selection of gift items, treats and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while you wait for your tree to be baled.

You can tour the fields to find the perfect tree for your home (per cut trees are available upon request). Horse-drawn sleigh rides around the property and if your hungry, you can enjoy some baked goods, hot chocolate or some food hot off the grill.
